Privacy
This site does not use cookies and does not track you across other websites. It keeps no profile of you and runs no ads.
What is measured #
To know which posts are read and whether the pages load quickly, the site uses Umami Cloud, a cookieless analytics service with its data stored in the European Union. For each visit, Umami records:
- the page, the site you came from (the referrer) and the time of the visit;
- your browser, operating system, device type, screen size and language;
- the country, region and city, worked out from your IP address. According to Umami, the IP address itself is not stored.
The site also measures how fast each page loads and responds (the Core Web Vitals: LCP, INP, CLS, FCP and TTFB), so slow pages can be fixed. These are timings of the page, not information about you.
Umami counts unique visitors without cookies, so the numbers cannot be linked to a person. The statistics are only used in aggregate, to improve the site.
If your browser sends Do Not Track, nothing is measured. Blocking the Umami script with a content blocker works too, and the site keeps working without it.
Hosting #
The site is hosted on GitHub Pages. Like any web server, GitHub receives your IP address when you open a page, and logs it for security purposes. See the GitHub Privacy Statement.
